Our client is an Engineering company who specialise in providing custom built engineered solutions and products/services to the mining/Resources, manufacturing/infrastructure, power and mineral processing industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager, who will report to the Asset Services Manager and work closely with the existing sales department.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity that will require you to use your sales and account management experience to increase business opportunities with new and existing clients.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Confidently present engineering solutions for materials handling
*Produce estimates, budgets and proposal documents to a professional standard
*To increase sales through various direct and in-direct methods whilst at all times Maintaining profit contributions
*Develop and Maintain strong business relationships with all key stakeholders
*Develop marketing and sales strategies to target identified potential clients
*Provide statistical, development and sales reports to senior management
*Pro-actively negotiate long term contracts for various products and services, conduct regular client meetings and service reviews
*Provide regular client contact and handle any technical issues or relevant queries
*Maintaining and developing the customer database, ensuring the accuracy of all information that is entered
Essential requirements for the role:
*Proven experience in a business development role ideally gained in a materials handling engineering environment
*Professional attitude with a strong business acumen
*Engineering knowledge with a strong technical aptitude
*Excellent relationship building skills
*Flexibility to travel to mine sites and major cities
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Articulate and excellent time management skills
*Results driven and client focussed
*Competent with MS Office applications including spread sheets
