The Client

The Role

Allstar Blue are currently seeking experienced Belt Splicers / Belt Splicing Supervisorsfor Permanent FIFO or Residential positions in WA. Key Responsibilities:
  • Belt Splicing, repairs, Maintenance and Installations to fabric, ply, solid woven, and steel- cord belt.
  • Remove and replace belts without supervision
  • Identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair
  • Conduct belt audits
  • Operate winches and winders
  • Sets up and plans equipment for continuous operations
  • Assist with creating splice reports
  • Perform hot and cold repairs
  • Perform pulley lagging
  • Apply mechanical clips
Requirements:
  • Good knowledge of all forms of Belt Splicing and Installations - fabric, ply, solid woven, steel cord..
  • Knowledge of high integrity splicing procedures
  • Sound conveyor product knowledge
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Competent splicer&nbsp- can demonstrate and teach others splicing skills
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
