The Client

Our client specialise in supplying pumps to the mining/resources, oil & gas, power generation and various industry sectors. Due to an increase in business, they are looking to appoint an experienced Account Manager/Sales Representative to join their existing sales team.

The Role

This is a rare and exciting opportunity that will require you to use your sales experience and technical aptitude to increase business opportunities whilst playing an integral part in developing new sales and marketing strategies.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


*Manage and coordinate all sales , technical queries, business development and administration of key accounts and new clients within allocated territory

*To increase sales through various direct and in-direct methods whilst at all times maintaining profit contributions

*Develop and maintain strong business relationships with all key stake-holders

*Develop marketing and sales strategies to target identified potential clients

*Provide statistical, development and sales reports to senior management

*Pro-actively negotiate long term contracts for various products and services, conduct regular client meetings and service reviews

*Working very closely with production planning, ensuring that all client requirements can be met within allocated timeframes

*Provide regular client contact and handle any technical issues or relevant queries

*Maintaining and developing the customer database, ensuring the accuracy of all information that is entered

*Work closely with the Sales Manager and assist in formulating new sales plans and objectives to ensure customer awareness of new products and services


Essential skills required:


*Proven experience in a Business Development/Account Manager role

*Ideally have a mechanical background or a strong technical aptitude

*Competent with MS Office applications including spread sheets

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*Professional attitude with a strong business acumen

*Excellent relationship building skills

*Articulate and excellent time management skills
